![]() ![]() When a Tracking Missile is Juiced Up, it travels up the track much faster than normal, making it harder to block. ![]() They can even be blocked with another Missile, however this is a rare circumstance that only really happens in Battle Mode. Power Shields and Masks are the most obvious, but Potions, Explosive Crates and Bowling Bombs can also be dropped or thrown behind you to intercept the Missile (using all three will get you the " Rear-viewed" Trophy). While Tracking Missiles are very effective tool, they can be blocked with a few Weapons. Sometimes you may occasionally acquire a Triple Missile, which gives you three Missiles to use! As well, they're affected by gravity when crossing gaps. They aren’t infallible as they fly directly to the target, so they should be used with caution to avoid hitting walls and obstacles. They head straight towards the racer one place ahead of you, and the target will know thanks to the square reticule that appears. Tracking Missiles are a very desirable weapon to have, however they do not appear if you’re in first place. Type: Weapon Effect: Tumble Juiced Up: Faster Speed Appears: 2nd to 8th Mario Kart Equivalent: Red Shell For players coming in from Mario Kart, their equivalents have been provided for convenience. Since CTR is a proud copy of Mario Kart, all Pickups are an expy of some sort of Mario Kart weapon. Tumble sends the character bouncing along the ground for three seconds, while Spins will throw the character into a spin for one second. All of these will decrease the racer’s speed with no control over their turning, but there is a grace period where they’ll be unaffected by anything else, outside of pits and drowning. The effect of a Weapon comes in two varieties: Tumble and Spin. You can get the " Juiced Up!" Trophy for using all Juiced Up Power-Ups. ![]() Collecting ten Wumpa Fruit will Juice Up your Pickups, making them more potent. Pick-Ups are also affected by Wumpa Fruit, available in Bounce Crates or floating above the ground, but you'll lose some if you take damage. You'll get the " Weapon Technician" Trophy for using every Weapon and Powerup in the game. In Battle Mode, at least one Weapon must be available before a match can start. Weapons, as their name implies, directly impede other racers on the track, while Power-Ups benefit the user. Pick-Ups come in two categories: Weapons and Power-Ups. ![]()
